JOB PURPOSE:
To provide technical support on material technology and heat treatment to facilities in China, helping global purchasing on heat treat, casting and forging supplier development.
Main Responsibilities:
China Material Technology Division (CMT) is a part of Center of Manufacturing Excellence of Asia-Pacific Division. It is temporarily located in Asia Trak Ltd, Tianjin, China, and support manufacturing in Asia-Pacific area. This is long term staff engineering position in the materials engineering group. Due to the growth of operations in China, the working location will change in the near future.
The scope of these positions is to support global purchasing sourcing activity by helping local supplier to understand specification requirement to produce quality level material, process and components; improving the linkage between China national standards and specifications; and continuously monitoring steel quality through steel dispositioning activity.
Requirement:
The duties include:
1、Metallurgical test result analysis.
2、Supporting China facilities initiation and future operation by evaluating purchased finished components
3、Shop floor troubleshooting and heat treat process supporting.
4、Steel dispositioning.
5、China national standards comparison with specifications.
6、Local steel grade development.
7、Failure analysis, etc.
Background and Experience:
1、BS degree in Metallurgical / Material Engineering, including degrees in Casting, Forging,Heat Treat, Metallurgical Physics and Chemistry, Metal Physics, etc.
2、4~6 years of relevant experience.
3、Highly motivated and able to work in a diverse team environment
4、Ability to travel internationally
5、Basic English written and oral communications.
6、Basic PC skills.
7、Willing to relocate.
8、Ability to travel. |
